How It Works
VASSUP connects creators with their most engaged audience through exclusive, ticketed livestreams. Here's how the entire process works.
For Creators
Apply and get approved
Sign up from your Dashboard, complete your profile, and submit your application. VASSUP conducts due diligence on every creator — including identity verification and content review followed by signing of Creator Service Agreement and KYC — before you are granted access to create your streaming sessions and go live.
Schedule your stream
Set your stream title, description, date, time, duration, language, number of seats (up to 100 initially), and ticket price. You'll see an upfront cost estimate showing an estimate of what you'll earn after fees — so you can price your session with confidence. Your stream is listed on your public channel page and on VASSUP's discovery pages, both of which are SEO-optimised and indexed by search engines.
Share and sell
Every stream gets a unique, shareable link. Share it on your social media channels — Instagram, YouTube, X, WhatsApp, wherever your audience already is. Your followers click, buy a ticket, and get instant access to the session on the stream's scheduled date and time. No third-party tools, no manual guest lists, no DMs back and forth.
Go live
On the scheduled date and time, go live from your browser — on desktop or mobile. No app download, no special gear. Just a decent camera, a microphone, and a stable internet connection.
Get paid
Once your stream is complete, VASSUP computes your payout — gross ticket revenue minus facilitation and usage costs, and applicable deductions (TDS, TCS if applicable). Your net payout is processed to your verified bank account typically within 48 hours of stream completion, and may take a further 5 to 7 business days to reach your account depending on the payment gateway.
You receive a detailed settlement statement showing every line item: gross revenue, fees, taxes, and net payout — along with copies of all invoices and deposit statements for your records.
During your stream, you have full control:
- Raise Hand queue — viewers request to speak; you decide who gets the mic and when to move on.
- Live voice interaction — talk directly to individual viewers while the entire room watches you, listens to the conversation.
- Emoji reactions and private messages — see what's on your audience's mind in real time.
- Room Mood Meter — a live sentiment gauge that helps you read the room and adapt.
- Moderation controls — mute, block, or eject disruptive viewers instantly.
Pricing
VASSUP charges creators two transparent, usage-based fees. There is no fixed platform commission, no revenue share on content, and no subscription fee.
- Business facilitation fee — a small percentage of gross ticket revenue, covering payment collection, invoicing, tax compliance (TDS/TCS), refund processing, and creator payouts.
- Platform usage fee — a per-session charge based on actual streaming usage, covering the real-time audio-video infrastructure that powers each session.

For Audiences
Discover a stream
Browse upcoming streams on VASSUP's Streams page, discover streams and creators through our Streams discovery page, recommendations engine or through search engines, or follow a link shared by a creator you already follow on social media.
Buy a ticket
Select a stream, review the details — topic, description, date, time, duration, language, and price — and purchase your ticket. Payment is processed securely through our payment gateway partners. Your ticket is personal and non-transferable. Only the authenticated account holder who purchased the ticket can attend the stream.
Attend the livestream
Join the stream directly from your browser at the scheduled date and time — no app download required. You can also install VASSUP as a lightweight web app on your phone for an app-like experience.
Rate and review
After the stream ends, you can leave ratings on different aspects of the session and a written review. Your feedback helps others decide which streams to attend and helps creators improve their sessions.
During the stream, you can:
- Watch the creator perform or talk to them live.
- Raise your hand to request a live voice conversation with the creator.
- Listen to live interactions between the creator and other attendees.
- Send private messages that only the creator can see.
- React with emojis that float across the screen for everyone to see.
Refunds and cancellations
Refunds are processed back to the viewer's original payment method. No action is required from the viewer — the process is fully automated. Full details are available in our Refund and Cancellation Policy.
Content and acceptable use policy
VASSUP is open to all legal content categories. Creators undergo due diligence and sign a Creator Service Agreement before they can host paid sessions on the platform.
The following content is strictly prohibited on VASSUP:
- Sexually explicit, obscene, or pornographic content
- Content promoting violence, terrorism, or extremism
- Hate speech or content targeting individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or other protected characteristics
- Content promoting illegal activities, including drug use, gambling, or fraud
- Harassment, bullying, doxxing, or intimidation of any kind
- Misinformation presented as fact, including unsubstantiated health claims or miracle cures
- Content that infringes the intellectual property rights of any third party
- Any content that violates applicable Indian law
Creators who violate these policies are subject to immediate suspension and removal from the platform. Full creator conduct rules are set out in the Creator Service Agreement. Viewers who engage in abusive or disruptive behaviour during a livestream may be ejected by the creator or suspended by VASSUP. Full viewer conduct rules are set out in our Terms of Service.
